Tony and I ventured out to Bernheim Arboretum today to tackle half of the Millennium Trail which is about 7 + miles. It was a relatively cloudy day with the temps in the mid 40s. Pretty nice temps for a walk in the woods.

This hike had lots of mature growths of Beech trees and Tulip poplars several creek crossings and is considered a moderate to difficult hike. We left the start at on a counter clockwise direction and really had no difficulties other than the trail was blocked at several locations due to the heavy winds from the day before.

    When our Hiking Leader Gregory mentioned this hike was OVER 7 miles long, with numerous UPS and downs I reached for my virtual rolodex to schedule an office mtg with NO UPS.

    This newbie out of shape, tag a long hiker needs more practice in Walking!
