New Adventures for 2018

New Adventures for 2018

The new year is fast approaching and the pains have subsided, so its time to plan for some new adventures in 2018.

First up is a planned 7 day hike with a former co-worker at MSD.  Jim Bobbit is continuing his Appalachian Trail hike in early March and is gratuitously allowing me to tag along for a week in the Great Smokey Mountains.  Yes, I know it can be pretty damn cold in the Smokies in March, but what the heck.

Next up is a planned trip with the family to Tahoe in early April.  Never been there but have heard such great things about it.  Looking forward to hiking, skiing and sightseeing in that beautiful area.

In early August, I have signed up for a Bike tour with the Bike The US for MS again in 2018.  This time I have committed (and should be) to doing the Pacific Coast Trail of 1852 miles and 32 days.  Ouch! – my ass hurts just thinking about it.  A new bike seat will definitely be on my list of new gear to research for the ride.

I don’t usually solicit very often but I will need significant help to raise the $2000.00 needed to participate.  Here is a link to my MS webpage if you would like to contribute.  Your donation goes to a very good cause and any help is much appreciated.
